April 30, 2019
7-9PM
449 Halsey Road
Parsippany, NJ 07054
Dave Blinder will give insight into landscape photography techniques and camera settings he used to capture all 21 of New Jersey’s counties. Time will be given for Q&A and there are free handouts with information on parks and nature areas throughout New Jersey.
Dave’s exhibit “Landscapes of New Jersey” is on display now until the end of April at the Main Parsippany Library.
Despite being the most populous state in the USA, New Jersey contains a great deal of ecological diversity. We have beautiful natural ocean beaches, mountainous rocky outcrops, wildlife-laden marshes and the Pinelands National Reserve. Natural areas are important to maintain drinking water quality, house our native wildlife, and for our own much needed recreation. Dave Blinder is a Morris County native and a professional photographer. He is a board member of Protect Our Wetlands, Water, and Woods. Dave is also a land steward to the Troy Meadows Nature Preserve in Parsippany.
This guys work is awesome. I had a hard time trying to decide what video to feature so you can have a good flavor of what his work was like. But since my husband is sitting across from me playing and singing Blackbird, that helped me decide on this one:
We would like to introduce you to an upcoming duo from the depths of South East London, Victor and the Bully.
Armed with only a Ukulele, a Guitar, some moustache wax and a touch of Brylcreem to a create a twisted cabaret-like sound.
Using honky-tonk piano, violins, trumpets and anything they can get their filthy mits on to back them and create a ‘Carnival blend’ inspired by steampunk, swing, mariachi, classical and punk to blow the cobwebs away and get the feet tapping!
