Butterflies and Disney’s EPCOT International Flower and Garden Show

Did you know that Disney is the founding member of the Florida Butterfly Monitoring Network!

“An amazing thing happens when people have the chance to come face-to-face with wildlife. They feel a strong connection, and are motivated to take action to protect wildlife and wild places and the environment.” – Dr. Jackie Ogden, former VP, Animals, Science and Environment, Disney Parks.

Not only are there Butterfly Gardens at Epcot; but some of the Disney Resort hotels, like the Contemporary, have their own butterfly gardens. The butterfly gardens are an essential part of the Epcot International Flower and Garden Show which is now running through May 28, 2018!

CaribbeanDays can book your stay to see the International Flower and Garden Show as well as backstage tours at EPCOT that will include seeing the Gardens of the World and Behind the Seeds.

These tours allow guests to:

•Visit the fish farm and see what it’s like during feeding time.
•Release ladybugs into the greenhouse to help protect the plants.

•Behold gigantic fruits and vegetables and unusual crops from around the world.
•Discover the latest plant-growing techniques, including hydroponics—look, Ma, no soil!
•Take home a handout with some great ideas for your own garden.
