Jersey Central Power & Light is Monitoring Weather Conditions Forecasted for this Weekend
Jersey Central Power & Light is closely monitoring the developing weather conditions associated with the storms forecast for this weekend. JCP&L is prepared to activate its storm response and Incident Command System plans.
In the event outages occur due to severe weather, customers without power are encouraged to report their outage by calling 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877), clicking the “Report Outage” link on www.firstenergycorp.com, or by texting out to 544487.
Customers should immediately report downed wires to 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877), or call their local police or fire department. JCP&L reminds customers to stay away from downed wires, even if they believe they are no longer carrying electricity. Extra caution should be used in areas where downed lines are tangled with trees or other debris. Motorists are cautioned to treat intersections with inoperable traffic signals as four-way stops.

Denville Kids Triathlon will be held 8am on Saturday, 8/18/18. Entrance Way and East Glen Rd. will be closed from 8am-11am.
The Denville Kids Triathlon will be held at 8am on Saturday, 8/18/18. During the event, Entrance Way and East Glen Road (from the club house to the ball field) will be closed. Anyone needing to access Rock Ridge Lake area should utilize Florence Avenue to West Glen Road.

Happy Birthday Disney Cast Member Joe Jonas!
Joseph Adam “Joe” Jonas, a member of Jonas Brothers, is born in Casa Grande, Arizona.
The Disney Channel reality short series, Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream, premiered on Disney Channel on May 16, 2008. The show ran until September 5, 2008. It documented the brothers’ lives on the “Look Me In The Eyes” Tour.
Joe, along with his three brothers, also starred in their own Disney Channel Original Series, called JONAS. In the series, the Jonas Brothers portray a pop band attempting to live a normal life.

Today is Disney Legend, Disney Cast Member, Comedy Writer, Stand-Up Comedian, Actor & Director Steve Martin’s Birthday! He was born in Waco, Texas.
Not only can Steve Martin be seen on The Muppet Show and The Muppet Movie, Fantasia 2000 and Father of the Bride; but, cast member and Disney Legend Steve Martin started out working at Disneyland selling guidebooks and working in Merlin’s Magic Shop! Martin alse appeared in the special attraction, Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years.
Martin was also in the home movie, Disneyland Dream which now is in the Library of Congress’s National Film Registry.
