Denville Rotary Presents Denville Township Police Trading Cards!

The purpose of the Police Trading Card Program is to promote a long lasting, positive relationship between our local police officers and the youth of our community.

The primary goal of the program is for our children to develop a sense of trust knowing we all live in a safe community where they can feel comfortable and confident that our police officers are friendly and approachable and are always willing to be of help.

Green Sustainable Committee Meeting – Every Thursday

Denville Green Sustainable Committee Meeting–All are welcome!

Every 4th Thursday at 6:30PM in the Town Hall Community Room. Green-minded members work to complete a series of of actions to better the town and environment, and thereby maintain Denville’s Sustainable Jersey certification.  All are welcome to participate.

To the Perspective Employees 15 and older:

Enclosed in this Job Applicant Packet you will find many of the answers to your questions about future part time employment with the Denville Recreation Department and more importantly the application itself. Please read the instruction sheet as well as the application in full before completing the application.

1. Please have the applicant complete the application.

2. Please complete both sides, use a pen and write legibly. If we cannot read the application it will be returned to you.

3. Working Papers will not be accepted with applications. Working papers are a promise of employment and we can not guarantee that until after all interviews have been completed.

4. Applicants will be interviewed at the discretion of the Recreation Department Staff.

5. Being a returning staff member does not guarantee you that position the following year.

6. Being a CIT (Counselor in Training) does not guarantee vou a counselor’s position.

7. If the applicant has a question about interviews, please call 973-625-8300 ext. 238.

8. Attendance is very important. We will look to hire people who can work the entire length of the program. (Family vacations are not excusable.)

9. All applications for Summer Plus employment must be received by April 17th. This deadline is not negotiable. We need to schedule interviews and schedule training sessions for staff before June 1st_ Interviews will be done on a first come basis and interviews may begin before March 15th_

10. If you are applying for a lifeguard position, please include all your current certifications or a note telling us where your class is being held and when you will have completed the course.

11. We can not guarantee work schedules. With the exception of Summer Plus staff “all other employees” will be required to work weekends.

12. It is the policy of the Denville Recreation Department to speak with the applicant only!

13. All interviewed applicants will be notified by phone or by mail no later than May 22nd.

Advisory

The Twp of Denville is paving Savage Rd and Morris Ave from 8/24-8/27. The road will be closed to through traffic during this project.

The Township of Denville will be paving ALL of Savage Road and a portion of Morris Avenue between the dates of 8/24 (Monday) and 8/27 (Thursday). The portion of Morris Avenue that will be impacted includes: from the intersection of Savage Road to the western most entrance of Morris Catholic High School.

During the project hours (between 7:00 am and the early evening hours) the roadway will be completely closed to through traffic, however residents will be able to travel to and from their homes.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this causes and we appreciate your patience. If you have any questions, please call the Department of Public Works (during normal business hours) at 973.625.8334.
