Honor a Vet Project

The Vamp Up Vets Field committee is continuing its fundraising efforts by offering a striking way to honor veterans. Our “Honor a Vet Project” allows you to design and purchase a custom made plaque, which will be mounted on the wooden fence lining the driveway of the field.

  • Cost = $100
  • Made of colored acrylic
  • Protective clear acrylic coating
  • Dimensions: 12″ x 7.5″
  • Gold paint filled
  • Engraved with name, rank, military branch and emblem, as well as service dates
  • Will be installed when the field improvements are completed

With the purchase of a fundraising plaque, you also have the option to purchase a 5″x 3″ keepsake version for $25. The keepsake does not have the protective clear acrylic coating but includes free shipping. If you order by December 18, 2018 you will receive the keepsake in time for Christmas.

After purchasing your fundraising plaque, you will receive a link to download a certificate in the event you would like to present it to the individual or the family which you are honoring.

Advisory

Advisory – Flooding to Township Lots

The current rainfall combined with the melting snow and frozen ground has caused flooding to the Lower Bloomfield Parking Lot in the center of town, as well as the Gardner Field Parking lot by the playground.

If your vehicle is parked in the Lower Bloomfield Parking Lot, you are strongly encouraged to move it to higher ground ASAP to prevent it from being damaged by the rising water.

If you will be picking up any students at Riverview School for today’s dismissal, pick-up will be at the main entrance to the school on St. Mary’s Place. You will not be able to use the parking lot/driveway that accesses the rear of the school by the basketball courts due to the flooding.
