I am always surprised to learn that our Sheep Hill Observatory seems to be a hidden secret. We have our own 18 inch Newtonian mounted telescope and astronomical observatory right here in #Boonton , #MorrisCty .

This is the place to be on the Friday nights when it is open to the public! And if you want to go more often, join the Association!

Right now, they are hiring contractors to fix the dome. They have funding; but need workers!
(20+) Contractor in Boonton, NJ at Sheep Hill Astronomical Association | Facebook
To all of the friends of the Sheep Hill Astronomical Association, we need your help! As you may, or may not know, our observatory dome is in desperate need of repair. We finally have the funds we need to get the work done and we have a few contractors that have expressed interest in the past on helping us out, but we’re still looking for more help. If you or someone you know have experience with metal fabrication, welding, paint stripping and recoating, rental of construction fencing and most importantly rigging and crane operation please contact us! We’re not looking for free work, although we won’t turn it down. We have funds. We can pay. Thank you!
